Personal Needs

UPDATED NEEDS

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Our family of ten proudly serves on the mission field in Mole St Nicolas, Haiti! As missionaries we must fundraise all of our support. As you can imagine, taking care of such a large family can be expensive!

Many of our long-time supporters have lost their jobs, passed away, or their churches are in financial strain.  Our hearts truly go out to THEM as their burdens increase to care for their own families.

I have cried with some really beautiful people with such generous hearts who now find themselves needing just as much prayer as we do.  Unfortunately the ripple effect has caused us to lose our much needed personal family support.

Anything you can help with a one-time gift  – or  even a small donation of 10.00/month can make a difference in the lives of those whom He called to serve in Haiti.

It is difficult for us to fund-raise for ourselves when we feel such a burden for the people we came to serve. How can I ask for help for medical insurance when I see hundreds of children near death’s door, lined up outside the mission’s clinic?  How can I ask for extra to help my family when my neighbor’s family have only the hope of making it through today? So I never like to vocally speak on behalf of ourselves when the needs of Haiti are so much greater. However, I feel like God has laid it on my heart to just simply put the need out there and see how God uses His people to meet it.

If you would like more information on how you can help our family or if you would like us to come and speak at your church – we would love to do that and share our story along with the ministry that keeps us walking by Faith.

  1. Jody, would love for you to come speek at our church when you are in the states. I may not be able to come this year . becuase my mother has been ill . she has COPD. she is really fearful when I am not around. help me pray about this issue . I have read several areas of this web . feel guilty asking you to help me pray about this with every this you have on your plate . But the Lord says we have not because we ask not. I really wanted to come back this year. Last year was the most awesome experience of my life .GOD BLESS YOU ALL.I WILL BE PRAYING WITH YOU AND FOR YOU.

  2. Jody, I have been reading about your needs and I will be praying about them. I will not be able to come to Haiti this Jan. and I will miss seeing you all. But I have a happy reason why. My son just return form 15 months Irac and Im helping move my daughter in law and grand children back to Texas. They have been living with me while my son was gone. I will also be haveing a breast biopsy on the 16 so please pray that this goes well. I will miss all of you and I will see what needs I can help you with. Love you all Jana

    1. Hi Deb.

If you would like to help support our family – you can send donations to the mission and mark it Castillo Family. We send out newsletters and pictures to all our personal supporters several times a year. We try to stay connected to them personally so they don’t feel like they’re supporting strangers but family. Donations can be sent to NWHCM, PO BOX 829 Versailles, KY 40383

If there is anything else we can help answer – please don’t hesitate to let us know. God Bless. Jody

  3. JODY,

GIVE ME THE SPECIFICATIONS ON THE SIZE, TYPE , AMP HOUR ETC AND QUANTITYOF THE BATTERIES NEEDED.

ALSO WHAT SIZE 4 WHEELER WOULD BE BEST FIT YOUR NEEDS. I CAN’T PROMISE ANYTHING MORE THAN OUR NORMAL SUPPORT & PRAYERS BUT I WILL TRY TO HELP.

    BOB

  4. The batteries we are looking for are the Rolls Surrette s460 6volt with 350 amp hours:20 hour rate. We would like to have 4 of them because we have a 24-volt system.

As far as the 4-wheeler – we aren’t picky. Just an automatic one. We see a lot of Polaris here – which makes it easier to get parts for it.

Thanks for your efforts!! We feel blessed that you’re even asking! So no pressure! 🙂

  5. Jody,
We saw your Tweet about Angeline with suspect cholera. We have several partners all over NW surveying communities for reports of cholera and medical response need. Please send me an email address, and we can hook you up to the 600+ medical responder network.
    In Christ,

Angeline is still pretty sick and we’ve been giving out rehydration salts to others who’ve shown up with diarrhea and vomiting. She’s been the sickest for sure.
