Walking On Higher Ground…

My parents surprised us and brought a construction team to the Mole.  They worked 4 long hot days! I LOVE that my kids got to watch papaw in action!  There’s not a better builder than my dad and my boys got to see it first-hand for the first time!

They poured a little concrete pad in front of our home so the kids would have a little area to play. Then they made sidewalks from our housing complex  – to the cafeteria –  to the church  – and to the orphanage!  No more walking in the mud when it rains! The path from the church to the cafeteria will no doubt bless ALL of our church people since we use the cafeteria a lot for our ministry.

Now there might be a few dog prints along the way….maybe a few little foot prints too. But it turned out BEAUTIFUL!

My parents got the kids bikes for Christmas and shipped them over in crates. I didn’t realize part of their master plan was to also pour sidewalks so the kids could ride their bikes all over campus! The kids have been going non-stop! It was a week full of family fellowship! Mom and dad really lifted the spirits of all of us on campus….
