HAPPY EASTER!
This morning’s sunrise service started at 6am! It was still dark outside…guess that’s why it’s called a SUNRISE service!! I’m so proud of my kids for waking up at 5am to get ready for church! It was definitely a stretch for me. I’m not really a morning person….considering my nights typically don’t end until 3am! 🙂
For the last few weeks I’ve been leading choir practice with 30 women from our bible study! Today was our debut!! We sang a song called – Ou Merite Tout Glwa – which means You Merit All the Glory! It’s been a lot of fun leading them – laughing with them – teaching them motions to the song – and adding a drummer to the mix! They put in A LOT of hours to pull this off! I’m so proud of them!
All of the orphans received brand new clothes from our friends in Michigan! They looked SO BEAUTIFUL this morning! The service was led by Pastor Agenor and Brian Snivley delivered the message! After the service we passed out hot chocolate & peanut butter sandwiches. We also divided out all the children. Shannon read some scripture and then we passed out a BIG bag of candy to each one! They were SO thankful! What an awesome treat! This is the first time in the 5 years we’ve been here – that we had a team over Easter.
After church our kids hunted for their Easter Baskets which were hidden around the yard! They LOVED looking for them & they LOVED all their gifts! This was our first Easter in our new home!
This afternoon the team shared coloring sheets, worked on crafts, & held an Easter Egg Hunt with the orphans & our kids! The kids said this will be a day they always remember! So thankful for the team that’s here loving on my little ones this weekend!
What a WONDERFUL day for our campus! SO MUCH to Celebrate!!
JESUS HAS RISEN!!!
