We are hosting Larry Owen’s 70th Birthday & 50th Year of Ministry Celebration on May 2nd in Lexington, KY! That’s right -ALL the Owens under one roof! The Owen kids & grandkids are getting together for an afternoon of fun!
I remember growing up singing on the back of flatbed wagons in the middle of church parking lots – fundraising for Haiti! Lori, Bud, Janeil, & I will be singing together some of our favorites from when we were kids! The grandkids will be performing little specials too!
We are inviting EVERYONE to come and celebrate with us! This is the first time in a LONG TIME that all of us Owens are able to be in the same place at the same time!
My dad is old school and one of his favorite things to do at Christmas time is to get cards from people and hang them up on the wall! If you can’t attend but would like to send him a card – he would LOVE that! I can picture the living room now….covered in cards…..a reminder that His service & life have made a difference.
There is a Facebook group we started – where we will be giving out the specifics and updating frequently. To find that group you can click this link: https://www.facebook.com/events/1092302367461903/permalink/1092349317457208/

Here’s some other info from the Facebook Page if you can’t access it:
Join us for a time of celebration and reunion of those who have served alongside Larry Owen in the States and overseas. This year marks the 70th birthday of Larry and his 50th year in the ministry. We are excited to celebrate with him. Please join us for a great time of sharing memories and food together.
What to bring? We are asking for cards and pies! If you know my Daddy then you would know that he spends hours looking at Christmas cards… they are his favorite things about the season. We thought it would be cool to shower him with cards and of course– the man loves pie! If you can bake a pie to bring that would be awesome.
The rest of the goodies will be provided 🙂
