OH what a beautiful morning in Haiti!
At 4:30am we had choir practice. My ladies have been practicing Holy Spirit & I Surrender for a few months now! They did a fantastic job this morning! I was so proud of them! I’ve got a video clip uploading but looks like it will take two days. I’ll post it when it does.
The service started at 5am. There were 60 kids in church by 4:45am! I was SO impressed. By 6:15 the church was full. My girls were up and ready but the boys didn’t make it until closer to 5:30am.
Terri’s group took the kids to children’s church while the rest of us had a beautiful worship & testimony service! Since 2010 we’ve been praying for a church – and we got to hold our first sunrise service in it today! GLORY TO GOD!
I loved hearing the people share how faithful God has been to them. Our instruments never did make it here in time – but God didn’t need those for us to praise Him like we did today! I was reminded how beautiful our voices are all alone.
After the service we passed out hot chocolate & peanut butter sandwiches. It was a wonderful time together. We finished up around 7:30am. It wasn’t on our original schedule but we surprised Preskul with the left over peanut butter sandwiches and hot chocolate. The group said they were taken back by how happy the villagers were even though they had nothing. I’m so glad on Easter Sunday we got to remind them that Jesus rose for them too – and He still sees them and loves them even when they feel alone.
Then tonight I led our last night devotion while we had our bonfire on the beach with the team. What a busy day right? But what an awesome experience to watch the sun come up & tuck itself back down- on Resurrection Sunday! Doesn’t get better than that.
