So this just happened…..
We’ve spent the last several days decorating for last night’s talent show. As I began to get ready & started to brush my hair – I heard a ripping sound. Pain shot up & down my wrist/thumb. (All I was doing at the time was holding the hairbrush).
I’m use to the palm of my hand swelling. BUT – I’m NOT use to my veins bulging to the surface & a knot popping up near my wrist. There’s also a significant indention right above that knot too. The top of my hand has never swollen like this before.
We will be heading to the states this week. For security reasons, I’m not going to give anymore details than that.
- pray for our travel,
- pray for the hand appointment I just made,
- pray for my Haitian kids who are heartbroken because we still cannot get a visa appointment for them to fly out.
- AND pray for all of our hearts as Malaya packs up her room & says her goodbyes. (I have cried A LOT these past two weeks – knowing how different life will be when we return without her).
THIS ENTIRE WEEK IS GONNA BE AN EMOTIONAL WEEK –
AND MY HAND ISSUES JUST MADE IT SO MUCH HARDER.

Jody, I am so sorry about your hand. I pray you will get good care as God guides you and those who will take care of you. Praying for your travel. Also praying for your heart. It will be so hard to go back to Haiti without Malaya. I know it will be a wonderful year for her, but it will be hard to be apart. I still remember how hard it was to have my children away from me. I missed them so much. But they were growing up and it was a natural progression for them. I love you, dear friend.
Praying my dear friend!❤️🙏🏿
