I can’t believe 2010 is already here! It’s like we all just walked through a door together – a door where God already knows what happens on the other side! How awesome is that! Hope He gives me a clue about what this year will hold!
So many exciting things already happening. I believe that this is going to be our largest year for groups by far. We kicked off the year with over 100 college and young adults. Despite the non-stop rain – they are out all over the mountainside. It’s easy to get discouraged when your clothes are wet, your tent has blown away, and you can’t find a dry place to sleep. WELCOME TO THEIR WORLD!! I think many Americans got to see firsthand how difficult it must be for our Haitian brothers and sisters. Several of you responded to my earlier plea about tarps and we’ve been tarping all over St. Louis du Nord! PRAISE THE LORD!
All of the missionaries are now back in Haiti and Janeil/Heather will be joining us at the end of the month. I’m so excited to finally be living in the same country again as my brother! It seems like Heaather and I keep having babies and we get stuck being on opposite sides of the water. Well WE ARE DONE WITH ALL THAT! 🙂
I can’t tell you what a blessing the past few months in Haiti have been for our family. We got to truly bond and rekindle our relationships with our Haitian friends and family. I think I laughed and smiled more in the last two months then I did for the whole year!
The groups are back in full swing and the Gospel is being spread throughout the northwest zone. Please remember to pray for our family, for our ministry, and for those we’ve come to serve. We ALL carry a large responsibility – being the hands, feet, AND face of Jesus. May this year bring more lives to Christ and strength our own personal bond with our Creator.
