We Are Together – Now To Get Ready For School!

My sister and I picked the family up at the Columbs airport at 11:30 pm last night! Surprising all the kids were still awake. I felt like I had one of those MOVIE moments in the airport where you see your loved one from afar and you run to them! The girls went running to me and hugged me and actually made me teary-eyed. Gabriel was strapped in his stroller and it took him a minute to figure out what was going on. He didn’t want me to put him down – precious!!

Well we have a lot to do over the next few days. We are trying to get some of our children into school in Versailles, KY which means lots of doctor appointments, immunizations, eye exams, and physicals. We are hoping this will be another huge blessing that we weren’t expecting. The only problem might be that Rosie and Mikela aren’t US citizens and they don’t have social security numbers. Supposively there is a new law that says it doesn’t matter if they don’t have those things  – that the government schools have to take them. So I guess we will wait and see.

I never imagined my girls ever getting the chance to go to school in the states with our home being in Haiti. Even if it’s only for a few months – this is an amazing opportunity that we do not want to pass up! I’ll let you know how it all goes!!

The kids stayed up until 2am this morning – they’re still not up! It’s funny how quiet my sister’s house was before and how crazy it was last night!! Sometimes it’s comforting to have some noise – you know what I mean?
